Swallow Falls is my favorite State Park. It features some incredible waterfalls and rapids surround by the only virgin forest in the state.

Of the State Parks I've visited so far, Gambrill has the best overlooks.

Greenbrier State Park was beautiful in early fall but I wish I would have waited a couple weeks so that I could have captured the fall foliage at it's peak.

The Washington Monument in Washington County has got to be one of the strangest monuments I've seen. It was originally constructed by the residents of Boonsboro, MD in 1827 and is considered to be the first monument dedicated to our first president. 

South Mountain State Park features Annapolis Rock which offers a nice view of Frederick and Washington Counties.

Point Lookout was the last park I filmed in Southern Maryland. I won't be going back to the Chesapeake until I film the parks in the Eastern Shore in the spring. 

Calvert Cliffs State Park has large cliffs and small fossils.

Greenwell State Park has horses, and beaches, and horses, and beaches, and horses, and beaches . . . .

Saint Clement's Island served as the landing site for the first Maryland settlers. It is also home to some very friendly bees and butterflies.
